Dr. Jiong-Wei Wang earned his PhD in Medicine from Leiden University Medical Centre, Netherlands, in 2013. Following postdoctoral training at UMC Utrecht and the National University of Singapore, he joined NUS as an Assistant Professor in July 2019, with joint appointments in the Departments of Surgery and Physiology. He is a Principal Investigator at the Cardiovascular Research Institute and the Nanomedicine Translational Research Program. His research, funded by agencies including NMRC, MOE, and NUS/NUHS, focuses on cardiovascular and nanomedicine topics. Despite his young age, his has a prolific publication history, and his papers are intensively cited (h-index 38). Dr. Wang has received multiple awards, including three Young Investigator Awards from ISTH, two ESC travel awards, and the 2023 Young Researcher of the Year from NUS. He also serves as Chair of the Department Safety & Health at Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine.
